We had a fun, fun Christmas this year with the whole family here at our home. We ate, played games, opened presents, sang carols, told stories. Mostly Alan and I enjoyed playing with and watching our grandchildren (3 wonderful boys). For Dilyn and Eric, it was their first Christmas.
On Thanksgiving Week we went with Alan's side of the family to Turks & Caicos. We had fun sailing, snorkeling, swimming, scuba diving, and relaxing by the beach. The weather was perfect and we really didn't want to come home. It was a vacation to be remembered!
The whole family went to Jason and Brianne's for Labor Day. Eric got blessed that Sunday and we all had a nice dinner. The next day we went to Rock Park and everyone had fun going down waterfalls on their back side. I had the most fun holding one baby after another and playing with Joshua. The next time we'll have everyone together is the weekend of Oct. 10 - we're going to have family pictures taken.
Eric Alan Kjar was born Monday, June 22, 09. He arrived at 2:58 a.m. and weighed 5 lbs and 14 ounces and was 18 inches long. He has dark brown hair. He and Brianne are doing well. Parker and I drove up to Reno on Monday to see him. We stayed overnight and then brought Joshua back with us on Tues. It is fun having Joshua here with us. Two grandbabies in one month - amazing! It is a lot of fun! Dilyn was blessed on Sunday, June 21, and Jason and Brianne had come to visit and see Dilyn blessed. We're all glad they made it back to Reno in time to have the baby.
Parker graduated from Folsom High School on May 28, 2009. We had Grandma Park and Grandma Kjar attend along with David and Palma Baker, Jenna Nebeker and Alan and I. It was a fun week celebrating the graduation and being together.
Dilyn Kyle Nebeker came into the world on June 1, 2009 at 4:49 a.m. He weighed in at 7 lbs and 11 ounces and 20 1/4 inches long. He has a lot of dark brown hair and is cute, cute! Kyle and Jenna are happy and all are doing well!
On May 8, 2009, we had our Ward Youth Conference. We put the kids in color groups (4). Parker and friends were in the Yellow group (obviously). All our work paid off as it was a great conference where all the kids got along and participated in all the activities.
