Turks & Caicos - Thanksgiving Week 2009

On Thanksgiving Week we went with Alan's side of the family to Turks & Caicos. We had fun sailing, snorkeling, swimming, scuba diving, and relaxing by the beach. The weather was perfect and we really didn't want to come home. It was a vacation to be remembered!

Fun with the new grandbabies on Labor Day!

The whole family went to Jason and Brianne's for Labor Day. Eric got blessed that Sunday and we all had a nice dinner. The next day we went to Rock Park and everyone had fun going down waterfalls on their back side. I had the most fun holding one baby after another and playing with Joshua. The next time we'll have everyone together is the weekend of Oct. 10 - we're going to have family pictures taken.

Parker graduated from Folsom High School on May 28, 2009. We had Grandma Park and Grandma Kjar attend along with David and Palma Baker, Jenna Nebeker and Alan and I.
It was a fun week celebrating the graduation and being together.

On May 8, 2009, we had our Ward Youth Conference. We put the kids in color groups (4).
Parker and friends were in the Yellow group (obviously). All our work paid off as it was a great conference where all the kids got along and participated in all the activities.

Parker had his senior ball on May 2, 2009. He went with Courtney Anderson and it was held at the Sacramento Convention Center. He went with a lot of friends and had a good time.

Today Jason and Brianne announced that they are having a baby BOY. Jenna and Kyle are having a boy also. So when summer arrives, we will have a total of 3 grandsons - can you believe it? It's great!

Parker's 18th Birthday Party

On Saturday, Parker had around 40 friends over for a party. Some I hadn't met before but only heard so that was fun. They played smash brothers, ping pong, and other games. They also had fun eating and playing music. When the party was over I only regeted that they didn't eat enough. Young adults don't eat like us older adults.

Trip to Utah

On Feb. 25, Jenna and I traveled to Salt Lake City to see Bear River High School play at the E-Center in the State Tournament. My brother, Van Park, coaches the team and his son also my nephew plays on the team. This is Van's last year of coaching (20 years), so we wanted him to go out on top. It was an amazing tournament and Bear River came out #1!!! It was so much fun to see most of my family and also some extended family that attended the games. We also had a baby shower for Jenna with all the relatives while we were there. It was held at my sister, Ruth Christenson's home. Jenna got lots of nice things for that baby boy to be born the first part of June.

Joshua's 3rd Birthday Party

Yesterday, Alan, Jenna, Kyle and I went to Reno to celebrate Joshua's 3rd birthday. Jason and Brianne had a party with friends over and family. As you can see, Joshua had a great time. Kyle ended up having to break the pinata so the kids could get the candy. Joshua loved opening the presents, one strip at a time. We all had a good time celebrating the birthday. We left Parker home because he wanted to go to the Folsom High School Winter Ball and he also played his
first church basketball game of the season.
